Dr Emeka Williams has over ten years working experience in the communications, marketing, leadership training and human resources development industries. He has a master’s degree from the University of Nigeria before leaving for the United States of America where he obtained an additional Masters degree and a doctorate degree in Instruction and Learning, and Adult Literacy and Community Development from the prestigious Wilmington University and the University of Pittsburgh respectively.
He has rich journalism experience which cuts across all genres and continents having worked in both the print and broadcast media industries in the USA, Nigeria, The Gambia and Canada. He is currently the editor in chief of the African Journal of Teacher Education, AJOTE, in Canada. Before this time, he was the deputy editor of Affairs Magazine in Nigeria, senior news reporter /columnists of Daily Observer newspaper and the Weekend Magazine both in Banjul-The Gambia.
As a thorough bred communications specialist, he has consulted for Radio 1FM Banjul where he produced and presented the Business Talk shop programme. Since the new millennium, Dr. William has consulted with different Nigerian and international agencies, non-governmental organizations and corporate firms in all spheres of human relations, leadership development and communications.
He has equally written several poems, short stories, articles, news features, entertainment and academic commentaries for local and international magazines/newspapers in Nigeria, The Gambia, Scandinavia, United Kingdom and United States. He is the author of three sizzling novels- White for Black, Back to Her Refuge, and Waves of Passion. With his lecturing experience from the Bloomsburg University and the Sojourner Douglass College in Maryland, both in the USA, Dr William is well equipped with the right exposure, competence and excellent people’s skills that would assure proficient service delivery. |
